Having grown up in Aachen, I studied Art at the HfbK in Hamburg and then Visual Communication. This was followed by courses in Art Education and Social Sciences at Kassel.
I have been one of the founding members in Triangle for fifteen years, my main activities being centred on contributing to and organising numerous exhibitions in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.
My artistic work focuses on collage. I combine pictorial elements with materials I just happen upon, and Asian and religious motifs feature often.
These singular creations which borrow from dreams and daydreams often cause perplexity and amazement in the observer
Treasure chests, altars to remembrance storing things of value. Collections of flotsam and things from every day life, strange things, things from the past, elements that combine to produce quirky atmospheres and emotions.
The love of fantasy shines through the creations: everything that glitters, sparkles, shines and even startles is incorporated into the pieces.
And so, in all the artwork and collages the feeling of bewilderment and alienation comes through.
